In the inner city, where neighborhood renewal is
underway an old storefront is deserted. The appliance repair shop went out of
business. An inverted sign saying "open now " and an
American flag cover the window of the abandoned building.
Across the street an industrial size daycare site and a 'dollar store' are under construction
adjacent to the newly erected strip mall.
