Fools Paradise can be realized either as an installation
or as a performance, or a combination of the two in a space that
can handle both formats. We have most of the necessary equipment
assembled, thanks to Northwestern University's Center for Art and
Technology.
Performance version requirements:
Hall with 1 or more projection screens.
1 or more projectors
VR computer (Linux) with dual head video card
VR tracking devices and computer to handle tracking data
2 or 4 speaker audio
Audio interfaces if 4 speaker version is installed
Installation version requirements:
Dark room to accommodate VR installation, approx.
10 x 5 meters, normal ceiling height.
Rear projection screen for passive stereo (polarized light)
2 projectors
VR computer (Linux) with dual head video card
VR tracking devices and computer to handle tracking data
2 or 4 speaker audio
Audio interfaces if 5.1 surround version is
installed
