How Does One Read Such a Story?

You may choose to read this hyperfiction in linear format, as though you were reading a print book, by clicking on the "next" link at the bottom of each lexia (page).

Or, if you would like to experiment with the associative, multivocal nature of hypertext reading and writing, click on the various links and see where they take you. Some of the links are internal -- that is, within the story. Other links may lead you to exterior, but somehow related, sites.

You will also find links that will enable you to participate in the story by sending an email that will enable you to become a co-author of Covalent Bonds. Keep in mind that you do not have to become a wreader to enjoy reading the story.

Your feedback is most welcome. I am most interested in knowing your feelings about reading hyperfiction as compared to reading a print novel. Can the two be compared? What do you like about reading fiction on the computer? Are there qualities you do not like about this method of reading? Email me.

If you have to stop during the reading, just add the URL at which you will stop to your Bookmarks or Favorites folder. That way you can return to the lexia you last read.
