Lumi: Ellen Harvey's A Whitney for the Whitney at Phillip Morris (Altria) is a miniature installation of much of the Whitney's permanent collection, presented in the museum's own intimate satellite space at the Altria headquarters. By formulaically painting the works at twice the catalog size and laying them out alphabetically along the walls, Harvey's mini museum is a democratic, accessible, and personal shake down of the imposing institution. Grandiose works become precious souvenirs, and Harvey masterminds her own inclusion.
