Summer: Anne Collier has also taken on photographing the museum public in the past with a similar conceptual, deadpan technique. But here in her self portrait, Reflection, she flips the criticality, calling for a reinvestment in the act of looking. Her minimally cool yet tenacious and straightforward image implicates the viewer with a sense of agency and responsibility in viewership.
