We needed some laughs after the lugubrious Others episodes. I liked the black humor with the corpse of the Dharma "Work Man." I think I'm sticking with this. I'd like to see some Other ass-kicking before the network loses faith. Having said that, I thought last night’s episode “Tricia Tanaka Is Dead” was pretty good. I was picking up on the Cisco systems "we are the world" style but didn't know if it was a pastiche of different videos. This is not a critique so much as an admission of cultural/media recognition failure. I missed that episode of Lost and now I'm mad! I love that brainwashing scene. I think those Dharma graphics and the whole utopian/dystopian Prisoner-esque vibe is one of the best things about the show (though I haven't been enjoying 3rd season as much).
