Goodworld

unique edition
online software and digital prints - goodworld.ws
(2002 -      ) commissioned by the Whitney Artport

Conceptually, GoodWorld is an idealistic wrapping of the Web. Similar to Christo's planting of giant pink umbrellas along a California highway, Goodworld forces a commercial website into an abstract minimalistic canvas - leaving only the skeletal reference of the original code.

The commercialism of sites like MySpace, CNN, or McDonalds are completely erased in real-time. Proprietary code finds the dominant image on the page and using Flash redraws the image based on dominant rgb colors.
