Happens all the time, sometimes I don't want to lug the camera bag and tripod around with me. One time I got home from work and there was a chipmunk, squirrel, robin and cardinal all eating bread that someone put out for them and no camera! But then I think maybe that scene was meant just for me! ( Thank you, God, I need that!)

Usually it's amazing clouds, and no camera in sight.

many things and this has happened so many times its not funny
from storms and my camera is not fully charged and cool and interesting situations where i was to embarrassed to take my camera out
and opportunities to take shots when i don't have my camera e.g meeting new and cool people to an awesome sunset.
    ahhh so frustrating

Every day I see things and wish I had a camera but I am saving to get a camera now as I stupidly sold off my D200 last year due to its weight and a need for money. All I have is a 3.2 megapixel Olympus compact which I will not use.

I use the phone camera sometimes, but ALL those pretty much suck, so what's the point....
