Yes.
But the honey bees are much more dangerous than wasps.

    You bet. And a number of different varieties too. The big black and yellow mason wasps aren't really anything much to worry about (except that they build their bloomin' mud nests in any little opening they find - I remember once writing a short story about how they filled up the keyhole of a lock, allowing a prisoner to escape from jail!). The smaller brown wasps build their nests under awnings, roofs, chairs and so on, but are easy to kill off when they're cold. The worst are the small red wasps. Boy, their sting is bad. Worse than a bee, that's for sure. So watch out for disturbing them.

    Yes, there are. Hornets as well. Generally they will leave you alone unless you interfere with them or interfere with their nests.

    Yes there are plenty of wasps here, at least during the warmer seasons (I have a highly allergic family member who is always quick to point them out so I know).
