OMG, tight! This is just what I needed today. Also, there is Meet Joe Black.
but meet joe black isnt a bus right? its just a car? i cant remember it has been years since i have seen that movie.
great job mbs
Thanks dudes.
Here’s the Meet Joe Black clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRublmZhhAk
(it’s a minivan).
I like that the convention that they are all essentially in dialogue with the camera / another character while this happens
real “First Scene of Law and Order” style

WOW
Great job.
Living in NYC I can relate to this. Those drivers aim for you and accelerate.
These can be divided into:
Quick view of CGI flattened person after the bus hits
vs
Victim just disappears
and
Foreground character (if there is one) flinches (2 do this)
vs
Non-flinching (1 does not flinch, at least in the clip.)

nice job, dood! the framing is different, but will ferrell gets hit by a bus in stranger than fiction… my favorite moment, ever, of a film’s character colliding with a vehicle is when wayne’s admirer rides her bike into the hood of a car in wayne’s world. i think about it all the time. great piece, mike!
so awesome.
