Part 1 in NN’s summer travel blog
Disneyland vs California Adventure

Last week, after failed travel plans to the east coast, I *finally* went to Disneyland. Of course Disneyland is amazing because of Space Mountain and Haunted Mansion.

(haunted mansion)
Am I the last person to realize the correlation between Tony Oursler and Haunted Mansion?

I found this rad site with Haunted Mansion secrets, check out the audio source loops and the layout maps.

Right next to Disneyland is California Adventure, a family theme park based on California. The food is better and there is this really psychedelic Sunset Blvd backdrop.

Basically, California is divided into various sections: Hollywood (see Sunset Blvd backdrop + Muppet Vision 3D ***AMAZING***), Wine Country, Chinatown, Orange grove land, Santa Monica?, and Mexico. In the Mexicoland there is actually a hologram-like thing sponsered by Mission Tortillas that almost competes with the ghosts in Haunted Mansion.

As you can see it is a seemless loop of a hispanic family making tortillas. After you watch it they give you a tortilla, to eat.
Stay in California for the 9pm electrical parade.

Then immediately go back to Dinseyland (park hopper pass required) for the fireworks that are synchronized to an audio-montage from various rides, and try not to cry like a baby when the vioce over talks about all of your dreams coming true.

I really like the tortilla rolling video. I think the embed code is somehow off, though

Greetings,

I am currently trying to write a book, “A History of Gracey Manor”. In effect, I am collecting all the existing Haunted Mansion stories and trying to correlate them into one tale.
I would like permission to use stories or graphics from your webpage. I will of course give full credit for my references.
Thank you very much for your consideration.
Brian
