Awesome email from my mom
She always formats her emails with crazy colors and fonts and stuff!! (which I didn’t even realize for a while because my email reader was just plain text) I’ve also recently started talking to her on AIM, fun :)

this is the sweetest thing ever! except for a minute i thought it was an “in and out forever” reference, which would’ve been scary. but yeah, cool! when i lived in sf, my dad would constantly watch the live-updating national geological society something or other organization’s website and email me everytime there was even a minor earthquake… which was like every day!

you’re an ascii star! nah, my dad is super into all meteorological and geological phenomena. aside from wheel of fortune, he watched the weather channel almost exclusively. when tornados or big storms were headed our way, everyone else would go running and my dad would just go out and stand in the middle of the street, staring up at the sky. he and my bro also did a lot of father/son rock tumbling.

hey, maybe now would be a good time to revive our old conversation about curating a show of nasty nets members’ parents’ work. my dad & jmb’s dad both do photo stuff and my dad also does music, plus your mom does stuff and i think other peeps’ parents make stuff, too. we might have to honorarily induct cory’s mom, who is mega talented! ;)
my mom has a masters in painting, but she hasn’t made anything for a while :/
guess i come submit her old work or i could submit some of my dads stuff too so yah my parents r in!
