I haven’t read the book, so perhaps it’s unfair of me to chime in, but your remarks seem spot on.
I do, however, feel 100% qualified to comment on your use of glitter text pull quotes – TOTALLY AWESOME!!!
At first I thought this was a subtle text piece joke – the link was already highlighted purple since I had already viewed it, as if to say “forgive me father, for I have sinned (clicked).”
