call for vibrating ads
Marisa took down her shaky ad GIF before I could dig this one out of the archive. (It’s OK–I like the concision of the fart post now)
Do others have vibrating ads on their hard drives? I’d like to see them.

yeah, i decided to trim the phat on that one. ;) but i really do like the shakeys…. i’ve unintentionally made some rattlers, in my day, when i was first learning to cut and paste.

hello, i have turned a few banners into gifs. most of it are modified and not as minimal as yours, but some of them are shaky. http://camille.pb.googlepages.com/couponsbanners.html
also i made a gif with a text editor formatting window (open office i believe), but it is not exactly an ad: http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l174/sasha_miike/camillepb_3.gif
enjoy!

Good one–really pneumatic! I like the hourglass and hovering exclamation point.

Marisa’s shaky GIF, rescued from the communal abyss of the secret stash:

I don’t know how much this contribution of camillepb’s has been altered but I believe it qualifies as a vibrating GIF for our purposes. Thanks!

Thanks.
I hate to see anyone putting any effort into this–it was more to see who had actually saved one of these and whether–through desire or inattention–it continued to occupy personal hard drive space.
Also, just to see what a bunch of them looked like on one page *without* having to search them out.
I didn’t explain that, I’m making this up as I go.

[...] Two sites worth looking at (if you aren’t already) are camille.pb’s research blogs, which coincide with her graduate studies in France. Blog 2 (current) / Blog 1 (closed) She is interested in software art but also gives props to default-trolling punks. The content of her blogs tends to the theoretical but they are nice to look at, with lo-res graphics, GIFs and ASCII art. She has posted on NN (the shaky GIF thread) and I appreciate her thoughts on the interview Paddy Johnson did with Michael Bell-Smith and me, specifically about being “irresponsible in front of the computer” (jodi’s phrase). — tom moody 3/7/07 6:04 pm [...]
